Drake's IQ has been quoted as 142, 120, 117, and "somewhere between 100 and 110," and not one of those numbers comes from an actual test. There is no verified IQ score for Aubrey Drake Graham: no named instrument, no date, no psychologist, no primary source. We traced every circulating figure to its origin, and the trail ends in a celebrity height-gossip site, a crowd-voting widget, and a site that admits it averaged two other listicles with a fan-forum guess. What does check out is more interesting: the most-charted artist in Billboard Hot 100 history went back to school at 25 to finish his diploma.
Where the numbers actually come from
• The 142: The site scientific.place attributes it, in its own words, to "Height of Celebrities," a celebrity-stats gossip site. Other pages repeat "reportedly 142" with no source at all. That is the entire chain: gossip site, then echo. For scale, a genuine 142 sits near the top percentile of the population, territory we cover in what an IQ of 140 means.
• The 120: The site check-iq.org openly explains its method: it averaged scientific.place's 142, another site's 100, and a 118 guessed on a Kanye West fan forum, labeling each input "Low Confidence." A score manufactured by averaging other sites' inventions is not a measurement.
• The 117: A crowd-voting widget on brght.org where visitors guess a celebrity's IQ and are funneled into taking the site's own quiz.
• The "IQ test results" of 2022: On August 24, 2022, iHeart radio-station blogs ran identical posts titled "See Drake's IQ Test Results Here." The "test" was 123test.com's free unproctored web quiz, and the result appeared only as an embedded image. It was engagement bait, the same pattern we dissect in how to spot a fake online IQ test.
Even one of the celebrity-IQ sites concedes the point: realiqtest.org's own Drake page admits "the honest answer is that Drake's IQ is not publicly verified." The same echo-chamber pattern produced Madonna's "140" and countless others.
What is actually documented
The verifiable record is a better read on Drake than any invented number. He left high school while playing Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation, then finished his diploma in October 2012 at age 25, studying with Vaughan Road Academy teacher Kim Janzen, and announced it himself: "97% on my final exam. 88% in the course... As of tonight, I have graduated high school!" He is the most-charted artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, the first to reach 400 career entries, with 90 top-10 hits and Guinness World Records for both. He co-founded the OVO Sound label and built the OVO brand alongside a long-running Nike partnership.
