How it is used in learning disability evaluations
The co-normed design is exactly what a "specific learning disability" (SLD) evaluation needs. Because the cognitive and achievement batteries share one norm group, an evaluator can see whether a child's reading, writing, or math achievement is unexpectedly low relative to their measured cognitive ability.
